My name is Allison (Allie) Lautenbach and I am the new 4th grade teacher at Gibraltar. I am a proud Door County native, born and raised in Sturgeon Bay. My family (the Rockendorfs) have been long-time residents!
I am a Sturgeon Bay High School graduate and have a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Norbert College (SNC) in De Pere, WI. At SNC I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I graduated in 2007. I student taught in Pulaski, WI and accepted a position after graduation, teaching 2nd grade at Holy Rosary Catholic School in Kewaunee, WI. For the last 14 years I taught in the Sturgeon Bay School District. My teaching experience includes 4K, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and, most recently, I was in charge of launching a STEAM program for grades 3-5 using the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Robbie and I have two little girls and we have a black lab named Shelby. We enjoy spending time outside, visiting a variety of Door County Parks, and spending time with our extended family. I enjoy reading, listening to a wide variety of music, puzzles and games, and watching sports. I am an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers! I love Door County and am so glad that I am able to raise my family here.
I look forward to meeting and working with you and am proud to be a part of the Viking team!
