Carrie Mulrain - 6-12 Reading Intervention
I am very happy to join the Gibraltar secondary team as the 6-12 Reading Interventionist. I will be teaching 6th-8th grade Double Dose ELA & Reading. I'll also join the middle and high school teachers in their classes to give students more support with literacy skills and work with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them reach their goals.
I graduated from UW-Eau Claire with bachelor's degrees in English and French. For one year after college I taught English as a Second Language in Cherbourg, France. Mr. Mulrain and I have also spent several summers in Latvia teaching at an English language camp.
For three years I taught 6-8 English Language Arts and Reading at Notre Dame of De Pere. After moving to Door County in 2015, I joined Sevastopol, working as a special education associate, reading interventionist and high school English teacher.
I completed my Reading 316 license through Concordia University and am currently working on my master's degree in Literacy.
