Ms. Bondeson
A little bit about me:
I moved to Door County in the winter of 2014 to teach at Gibraltar.
For 25 years prior, I taught Suzuki violin & Kindermusik, and founded the Harmony School of Music, a non-profit community organization in Washburn, WI, that also offered classes in piano, guitar & voice, as well as creative enrichment such as Girls Rock! and Rock for Real, programs developed to give teens real-world experience performing in bands & writing their own music.
I performed as a singer & fiddler at Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield for over 20 years (during which we performed “Riding the Wind” at Door Community Auditorium!), and participated for 10 years in the Madeline Island Music Camp for adults.
I changed careers in mid-life & returned to school to complete Music Education degrees in vocal, instrumental & general music.
Music is my life!
I can’t live without music, and whenever I need a boost, it is where I turn. Studying and performing a piece of music, whether instrumental or vocal, involves digging into meaning, expression and nuance that is rich beyond words & my greatest inspiration for working with young people.
Music can truly change the world.
