Mrs. VanDreese's Class
Welcome to Mrs. VanDreese's Class.
Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year, 4th graders and 4th grade parents! My name is Mrs. VanDreese and I will be your 4th grade teacher this year. It's an exciting time of year ...we meet new friends, new classmates, and new teachers, AND we learn so many new things as well. For some, it may be a little bit scary and others may be ready to jump right in. We are in this together, so "No Worries!" We are all starting fresh and by the end of the first week, the new routines will come easier, for sure.
This is the beginning of my 30th year of teaching at Gibraltar Area Schools. I taught 20 years of 3rd grade, 3 years of middle school English, and now I'm excited to be beginning my 7th year teaching 4th grade.
I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in a town called Escanaba. I graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette Michigan. Go Wildcats! Recently, I've been noticing a few Gibraltar graduates heading to NMU, which is so cool for me to hear about. My family consists of my husband Jon, two sons - Nicholas and David (yes, we are empty-nesters), and last but not least we have our "youngest", Bucky Randall VanDreese.
Mr. V. and I love walking, bike riding, watching DCL baseball and the Brewers, and we are HUGE Badgers and Green Bay Packers fans.
Let's get ready for a fabulous year, 4th graders. Hope to see you all on Thursday for the backpack drop off and then for sure on the first day of school.
