The Gibraltar School District is planning a $4.4 million remodel of its library and adjacent classrooms. The project requires approval by district voters in a referendum planned for November's general election. If approved, construction would begin in the summer of 2019 and be completed by winter break.

The last time Gibraltar held an operational referendum was in 2012 and taxpayers approved permanently adding $2.875 million annually raised through property taxes.
Nov. 6 will be a pivotal day for the future of the Gibraltar School District.
Two referenda questions will go before voters in the district that day, one to fund ongoing operational expenses, and one to fund a transformation of the school’s library and media center.
